Se anunciaron las nominaciones para los Oscares, y como se esperaba, Gravedad (Gravity), Escándalo Americano (American Hustle) y 12 Años Esclavo (12 Years a Slave), acapararon las menciones.

Alfonso Cuarón luce como favorito para ganar el premio por Mejor Director, mientras que 12 Años Esclavo parece tener ventaja en la categoría de Mejor Película. Será una dura batalla entre las 2 cintas.
