Este miércoles 13, el Sindicato de Actores anunció las nominaciones para los SAG Awards, que reconocen las mejores interpretaciones del cine y la TV.
Alrededor de las 7 a.m., tiempo de Los Ángeles, Olivia Munn y Niecy Nash fueron las encargadas de revelar a los contendientes de la 24a. Entrega de los Screen Actors Guild Awards, desde el Pacific Design Center de West Hollywood.
En el apartado cinematográfico, Tres Anuncios por un Crimen (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) es el filme que lidera las menciones, con cuatro, incluyendo Mejor Actriz (Frances McDormand), Mejor Actor de Reparto al doble (Sam Rockwell y Woody Harrelson), y Mejor Ensamble Actoral.

RECONOCIMIENTO A LA TRAYECTORIA

Aunque La Forma del Agua consiguió nominaciones por Mejor Actriz (Sally Hawkins) y Mejor Actor de Reparto (Richard Jenkins), no consiguió apuntarse en la categoría más importante, la de Ensamble Actoral, lo que resulta extraño, considerando el gran paso que la cinta de Guillermo del Toro ha mantenido hasta el momento. Y también es de destacar la completa omisión para The Post: Los Oscuros Secretos del Pentágono; la de Steven Spielberg es una de las películas que más fuerte venía pisando en esta muy joven temporada de premios, y es realmente una sorpresa que el gremio actoral haya dejado de lado a dos de las más grandes estrellas de la industria (Meryl Streep y Tom Hanks).
Los Premios del Sindicato de Actores son el mejor indicativo rumbo a los Oscares en las categorías que reconocen a los histriones, y el galardón por el Mejor Ensamble Actoral, el equivalente del Sindicato para Mejor Película, realmente ayuda en la carrera por la máxima presea de la Academia, pero no es el más determinante; el año pasado Luz de Luna se llevó la victoria más sorprendente de la historia sin haber ganado el SAG, que acabó en manos del elenco de Talentos Ocultos.
Los ganadores de los SAG Awards serán anunciados el domingo 21 de enero de 2018, en una ceremonia conducida por Kristen Bell.
